Level 2 Apprenticeship in Wood Machining
Morgan Timber is a family owned importer and processor of high quality timber employing about 40 people.
Our Apprenticeship is a two year course which combines workplace training with day release to college. The college year starts in September.
Workplace training is provided at our works in Strood where Apprentices gain experience working on a wide range of modern woodworking machines in a busy production environment.
Apprentices attend College in Folkestone one day per week to achieve NVQ level 2 in Wood Machining.
Apprentices have full employed status with the company. Pay starts at £5.10 per hour and increases in stages to £5.80, £6.50, £7.30 and £8.00 subject to satisfactory progress being made. The basic working week is 39 hours and any overtime worked is paid at basic rate x 1.5.
Apprentices who successfully complete the training can expect good pay and prospects with the company.
