Cladding

Standard profiles

We produce 8 standard profiles which cover the range of the most popular cladding designs. These 8 profiles, which we have called MT1 to MT8, are shown below. Typically they are produced in either western red cedar or Siberian larch but can be run in any of the many other species we keep to suit our customers’ requirements.

Special profiles

In addition to our 8 standard profiles, we can produce cladding to virtually any specification.

Our in-house tool room has a computer driven template maker and a precision profile grinder enabling us to produce cutters which accurately match patterns or drawings supplied by our customers, so bespoke cladding designs can easily be accomodated. These can be run in any of the species of timber that we hold in stock.

Featheredge profiles

Generally produced in pressure treated softwood or, for a hardwood option, fresh sawn oak. Oak featheredge is particularly suited to barn conversion projects. The most popular size used is 2ex 175x32mm but other sizes can be produced.

Loglap profile

For cladding of timber frame outbuildings we produce a softwood loglap tongue and groove profile MT9. This cladding is pressure treated with preservative to enhance it’s external durability and it is produced from a large enough section to add stability to the overall building structure.
