Newel posts

Our most popular laminated product is an American white oak 90x90mm finished size newel post. These are produced in house in a 2 piece construction with both pieces cut from the same board to give grain and colour consistency.

They are laminated using polyurethane glue and timber biscuits and are sanded before being individually wrapped in polythene. A reference sheet detailing the positions of the biscuits is also included to allow for further cutting to length on site.

We stock these newels in standard lengths of 2.45m, 3.05m and 3.65m

Stair strings

We also produce American white oak laminated stair strings in two pieces, with care taken to match the colour and grain as closely as possible. Being manufactured from two narrower boards, the strings have fewer defects than generally found in one piece boards. They are laminated using polyurethane glue and timber biscuits and then sanded to give the best possible finish.

The strings are a finished size of 290x27mm and in lengths of 3.95m and 4.25m.
